Making clay paint

On Tuesday afternoon we headed to the beach where we found a little warm water pool made by the tide overnight. We discovered that the rocks were clay so we mushed it up and created a face paint that we put on ourself to look like Aboriginal people. They used the clay for war  and hunting. They were most commonly worn in sports and games. The colour of the paint is ochre.

I have never been to Australia, so it is really cool to see your photos and hear about what you’ve discovered!
